Clash Detection - Undo Manual Suppression

On many of our large projects we use the iTwin clash detection engine extensively. We are dealing with large multi-discipline models. After the first initial test run, results are reviewed and Rule based suppression is applied to repetitive acceptable clashes, so our reviewers can focus on real issues. After all rule based suppression is added, the next process is to review clashes individually and apply manual suppression to acceptable clashes on a case to case basis. Only after this stage, our reviewers can now raise issues and instruct the CAD guys to resolve real clashes in the 3D models.

Problem / Idea:

It’s human nature to make mistake and a reviewer may accidentally manually suppress a single or a group of clashes. When dealing with a clash test result listing 100s to sometimes 1000’s of clashes, an ‘UNDO MANUAL SUPPRESSION’ feature is very much needed. It is currently impossible to go and find the handful of clashes that was accidentally manually suppressed and unsuppressed them. The only way now is to unsuppressed all manually suppressed clashes and start over, resulting in many hours of work and subsequent money lost.

May we request an ‘Manual Suppression Undo’ Feature?

Another method may be to somewhere introduce a time stamp of when a clash was suppressed. This way the reviewer can filter a list of suppressed clashes within a time frame, isolate and identify them via their index number and unsuppressed these clashes.

May we request a time stamp of when a clash was manually suppressed that could be exported to CSV or surfaced in the Design Validation results page?

Hi Lourens, just to confirm this is to add an option to the table columns with a filter to find clashes that would suppressed within a time frame? Are there other filters needed?
